Lip Blush Guide
Lip Blush - Everything you need to know
Lip Blush
Lip blush is a beauty service that focuses on enhancing the natural appearance of the lips by gently depositing a subtle shade of colour. This treatment typically uses semi-permanent pigments, giving the lips a soft and natural look. With lip blush, clients can achieve a more defined lip shape and a slight hint of colour, similar to a sheer lip tint.
The lip blush procedure often involves a skilled technician using a combination of advanced techniques, such as pixelating and layering pigments, to create a customised colour tailored to the client’s preferences. The results can last between 1 to 3 years, depending on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and maintenance.
Lip blush tattoo is a revolutionary semi-permanent makeup technique that adds a hint of color, definition, and youthful vibrance to your lips. At Defined by Linda, we understand that every individual is unique, which is why our expert artist, Linda, customizes each lip blush treatment to suit your specific skin tone, facial features, and personal preferences.

1. Keep Them Dry for 24 Hours:
- Avoid all forms of moisture on your lips for the first 24 hours after the procedure.
- Refrain from drinking hot beverages and steer clear of spicy foods that may cause excess moisture or irritation.
2. Gentle Cleansing:
- After the initial 24 hours, gently cleanse your lips with a mild, unscented, and alcohol-free cleanser.
- Use a cotton pad or clean tissue to dab your lips; avoid rubbing or scrubbing.
3. Moisturize with Care:
- Apply a thin layer of a specially formulated lip balm or ointment.
- Use clean, washed hands or a disposable applicator to prevent contamination.
4. Avoid Sun and Heat Exposure:
- Shield your lips from direct sunlight and excessive heat, as these can fade the pigment.
- If you must be in the sun, apply a lip balm with SPF and wear a wide-brimmed hat.
5. Say No to Lip Products:
- Steer clear of lipsticks, lip glosses, and other lip products during the healing process (approximately 7-14 days).
- These products can introduce bacteria and irritate the freshly tattooed area.
6. Skip Swimming and Saunas:
- Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas during the initial healing period.
- Submersion in water can cause pigment loss and potential infection.
7. Resist Picking or Peeling:
- Your lips may experience some flakiness during the healing process. Do not pick or peel the skin.
- Let your body’s natural healing process take its course.
8. Keep Your Hands Off:
- Refrain from touching or rubbing your lips, as this can transfer bacteria and disrupt healing.
9. Be Patient:
- Understand that the final results will appear after the healing process, which may take several weeks.
10. Follow-Up Appointment:
- Attend your scheduled follow-up appointment as advised.
- This appointment allows any necessary touch-ups and ensures your lip blush looks its best.
